Research interest
Our lab focuses on the development of single cell omic technology, to investigate the genetic and molecular mechanism of cell fate decision in photosynthesis.

1. Development of single cell omic technology. Single cell technology revolutionized whole-organism science, thoroughly dissecting the cell fate decision and development. Our team works in developing single cell omics, subcellular omics, and in-situ sequencing technology, through cooperating or recruiting researchers associated with nanomaterial and precision instrument.

2. Investigation of cell fate decision in C3-C4 photosynthesis. Photosynthesis converts luminous energy into chemical energy and provides oxygen for biosphere, which is, therefore, one of the most important research fields in plant science. Many scientific questions were still not answered, and our team will try to figure out them by integrating new technologies and strategies.
