陈凡


陈 凡 男,博士,研究员,博士生导师。

  1991年毕业于武汉大学生物化学专业,获理学学士学位。1994年在中国科学院武汉植物所获植物学专业硕士学位。1997年毕业于日本爱媛大学联合研究生院植物生物化学及分子生物学专业,获哲学博士学位。



   陈 凡博士领导的创新研究组主要研究方向是植物分子控制与应答,研究植物发育过程中特定信号转导途径及相关基因的表达与调控。主要研究内容:

  1.环境胁迫下植物环境耐性形成的分子机制
  
特殊环境条件(干旱、低温、盐碱度等)构成对植物体生长发育的环境压力。植物体针对这些压力,自身产生相应的生理应答,逐步形成对特定生境的环境耐性。在这一过程中起重要作用的是调节基因,而不是结构基因。植物体通过不同的信号转导途径调节基因表达。其中,ABA依赖信号途径是各种不同环境胁迫因子共同利用的途径。而在整个信号转导过程中,特定的转录因子起关键作用。围绕植物内源激素在分子水平上对植物发育进程的影响和调控,对特定转录因子及相关功能基因进行研究,以期从表达的空间特异性和时间顺序性上了解基因互作的网络层次,从而可在组织、器官和整体水平上认识高等植物发育与分化的分子本质。此工作得到国家“十五”高技术研究发展计划(863)和国家自然科学基金的资助。

   
2.高等植物基因的组织特异性表达和调控
  
高等植物细胞分化的分子本质是不同基因差异表达的结果,大多数发育调控基因的表达具有时空性。用分子生物学技术对农作物进行遗传改良,经常期望插入的外源基因能够限制在特定的组织中表达,使植物获得有用性状,因而要求通过有效的组织特异性启动子对靶基因的表达进行调控。高等植物的根不仅是进行营养吸收、运输、储存与合成的重要器官,也是植物体抵抗病虫害和在特殊生境下得以生存的不可缺少的组成部分。研究的植物基因在根中的特异性表达和调控,及其重要的组织特异性启动子,将有利于揭示植物根的发生和分化机制,并通过基因工程对植物体进行有益的改造。此工作得到国家转基因植物研究专项的资助。
