研究兴趣

        我们的研究兴趣是发育系统生物学,更具体地说,我们的研究是综合实验和计算手段,用系统生物学方法,研究发育生物学问题,以期理解指导发育的基因调控网络。


   
我们为什么要研究基因调控网络

        因为发育过程不是被一个基因而是被一系列基因控制着的;这些基因也不是孤立存在的,它们之间存在着复杂的因果关系。

我们使用的动物模型:青鳉鱼

        青鳉鱼是一种原产东亚的小型卵生淡水硬骨鱼。培养温度为28℃ 时,其胚胎九天后孵化,两三个月内达到性成熟。成鱼大约3厘米长。青鳉鱼是温带鱼,能够在 4℃到40℃的范围内生存。它的基因组比较小(800Mb),只有斑马鱼的一半。数十年来,青鳉被用作环境毒理学、致癌研究的测试系统。
